About The Position

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor site activity, follow post orders, and assist with directing foot and/or vehicle traffic as needed based on location procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and/or first responders during routine operations and unusual situations.
