Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report maintenance, access control, and other property-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas for unusual activity, assist with access-related questions, and support site rules and visitor expectations in a professional manner.
  • Complete routine reports and logs related to patrol activity, incidents, and daily observations, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and/or onsite contacts regarding security-related matters.
