About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Mobile Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will help support a welcoming environment through routine foot and vehicle patrols, visible presence, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, reports of suspicious activity, access issues, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, work areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor management and delivery coordination per site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions to support continuity of operations.
