Job Description As a Security Officer Driver Gate Screening in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site access procedures. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver professional communication and customer service while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security-related supervisor and/or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Document visitor activity, maintain accurate access records, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or restricted area requests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related issues according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, gates, and perimeter points to help to identify potential concerns and support site rules and security-related protocols.
