As a Security Officer Driver for Unarmed Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access and guide students, staff, visitors, and faculty as needed.
  • Document routine activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or policy concerns, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and campus personnel.
