About The Position
As a Security Officer - DoD Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to situations with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations and support on-site teams with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset, bringing agile and reliable service to each shift.
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possessing a guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related policies for a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Monitor gates, entry points, and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or access authorization as required, and direct individuals to the appropriate contacts or locations.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
