About The Position

As a Security Officer - Clearance Required Driver Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production and office areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines, documenting observations and unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing authorized personnel to the proper location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as required by post orders.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate details, and communicate updates to supervisors and the incoming shift.
