Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Loss Prevention in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support loss prevention at a bustling logistics and distribution location. Your role includes monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and interacting with team members and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. You will leverage technology and your communication skills to create a welcoming environment, all while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening of personnel, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
  • Follow site-specific procedures and security-related protocols as directed by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries and access requirements at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related incidents observed during screening operations.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment throughout the logistics and distribution site.
