About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to questions and/or concerns, and deliver strong customer service while supporting site operations. Requirements

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouses, loading dock areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards such as unsecured doors or damaged fencing.
• Monitor access points for employees, drivers, and visitors; verify identification and/or delivery information as required and direct traffic and pedestrian flow in busy shipping and receiving areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance, documenting observations, and coordinating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, access control actions, and incident response; communicate status updates to the site team and Allied Universal supervision.
