Security Officer - Distribution Patrol Full-Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Distribution Patrol Full-Time in Ellenwood, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at a logistics and distribution location in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, yard areas, trailer rows, and perimeter fencing, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns per post orders.
- Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or deliveries, and directing traffic flow to designated areas.
- Complete shift reports and incident documentation, and communicate with site management and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations and follow-up needs.
