Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Front Desk in Palmetto, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact in a logistics and distribution location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. You will monitor access, manage visitor and employee entry, and use technology to support daily operations. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, employees, and guests at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location, in accordance with client requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and management to address inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports.
  • Support emergency response activities at the front desk when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal and/or client representatives.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk.
