About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Facility Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication, assisting employees and visitors as needed. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the overall security-related needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns, adapting to the unique environment of a technology and media setting.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control measures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as required by site policies.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
Support emergency response protocols and assist first responders as needed during incidents at the location.
