About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility Access in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards within the logistics and distribution environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, access control activities, and daily events as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to provide assistance and information as needed.
Follow post orders and instructions specific to the logistics and distribution location.
