About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility - Access Control in La Habra, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following established procedures.
Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Assist with visitor and contractor check-in and check-out processes, maintaining accurate records as required by site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions or assistance as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and site-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with site staff and management to support a secure and orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.
