Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in Cleveland, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support store teams with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist customers and staff with a service-first mindset. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail location by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying delivery and vendor access, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access logs per site requirements.
  • Monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems for unauthorized access or suspicious activity, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support for medical calls, disturbances, and property issues.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, corridors, sales floor areas, receiving areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, and document observations in required reports.
