As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe activity, document findings, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a customer-focused experience. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients at a retail distribution and warehouse location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards or unusual activity.
• Monitor access points for employees, visitors, drivers and contractors, verifying credentials, directing traffic flow at gates and/or check-in areas and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
• Complete required reports such as patrol logs, incident reports and shift activity documentation, and communicate pertinent updates during shift turnover.
