About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Screener in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location according to established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the operations of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious activity observed during shifts.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and visitors to support a secure and orderly environment.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
