About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, document incidents, and help guide timely responses to security-related concerns. You will remain a visible and dependable point of contact while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, and camera systems from the dispatch post, receive reports of routine and urgent issues, and coordinate the appropriate security-related response.
  • Document incidents, calls for service, visitor activity, delivery-related concerns, and shift updates in dispatch logs and related reporting systems with clear and timely communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying information to site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter when assigned, while helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting unusual conditions observed in warehouse, shipping, receiving, and yard areas.
