About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operations in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer serving a financial institution location, you will monitor activity, coordinate responses, and communicate with on-site teams to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role will be key in maintaining a secure environment through exceptional customer service and timely information sharing. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and coordinate responses to incidents within the financial institution location.
  • Receive and document calls for service, emergencies, and/or security-related concerns, relaying information to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications, incidents, and activities that occur during the shift.
  • Assist in monitoring security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and external responders as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal personnel to facilitate prompt and accurate information exchange.
