About The Position

As a Dispatch and Vehicle Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy College Campus, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor alarms and cameras, manage radio and phone communications, and document activity with clear, detailed reporting. You will also support on-site teams by directing patrol coverage, helping to reduce incident impact, and delivering professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license to meet AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the dispatch center by receiving, prioritizing, and routing calls for service from employees, contractors, visitors, and/or alarm systems.
  • Dispatch patrol personnel and coordinate response to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, and intrusion/fire panels as assigned, and communicate observed activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal standards.
  • Support access control operations by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges as directed, and documenting visitor and vendor entries.
  • Communicate via radio, phone, and computer systems to relay instructions, status updates, and escalation notifications to supervisors and client contacts.
  • Assist with emergency notifications and internal announcements, including coordinating call lists and mass notification procedures when directed.
  • Conduct security-related checks of gates, doors, loading areas, and perimeter points through cameras and/or scheduled radio check-ins.
  • Partner with site leadership and Allied Universal management to follow post orders, complete required training, and participate in drills and briefings as assigned.
