As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge processes as needed. You will interact with patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting observations and escalating concerns. Requirements

Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 or more years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other monitoring systems, and report irregular conditions according to post orders.
Assist with de-escalation by using communication skills to address conflicts, provide directions, and/or help coordinate support from appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual occurrences in written reports and/or electronic logs per Allied Universal and site procedures.
Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and coordinate response activities during emergencies and/or drills.
Maintain a professional presence and appearance, and provide courteous assistance while supporting facility policies on prohibited items and restricted areas.
Support patient movement and/or special requests when assigned, such as escorting authorized personnel and/or protecting privacy during sensitive situations, consistent with post orders and site policy.
