About The Position

As a Security Officer - Desk Reception- Clearance Required in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a front desk post supporting an aero and defense location, where your presence and professionalism help promote a welcoming, controlled environment. You will greet employees and visitors, manage access procedures, monitor cameras and alarms, document activity, and communicate concerns to site contacts. Requirements

  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk post.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
  • Operate access control and communications systems, answer and route calls, and coordinate with site contacts regarding deliveries, appointments, and visitor access requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete shift activity reports and maintain accurate logs of visitors, access events, incidents, and equipment status in accordance with site requirements.
