About The Position

As a Security Officer - Defense Campus Rover in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access control activity as needed. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an aero and defense location.
Control access to buildings and restricted areas by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, hangars, production spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter, looking for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations that may help to deter incidents.
Respond to alarms, reports of suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local emergency services when needed.
Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate shift updates, and assist with investigations by preserving observations and providing requested information to site management.
