You will monitor activity, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will also support visitors and staff with strong customer service while documenting observations and working as a team with integrity in a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unauthorized access according to post orders.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
