Job Description As a Security Officer - Day Shift Entry Control in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain clear visitor and delivery logs. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with team members, drivers, and staff. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity to a role built on teamwork and customer service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and contractor logs.
  • Support inbound and outbound operations by coordinating driver check-in and/or check-out, confirming appointment details and delivery documentation, and directing vehicles to the appropriate docks and staging areas per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
