Job Description As a Security Officer - Data Center Patrol in Spartanburg, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to guest and employee needs, document activities, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech and telecommunications location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
- Control access for employees, visitors, and contractors by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site policies.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report irregular conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
