As a Security Officer - Data Center Days in Farmington, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a financial services location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. Your visible presence and professional communication help to discourage unwanted activity while delivering a strong customer service experience for employees and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, and the exterior perimeter, watching for unusual activity, hazards, and/or unsecured doors.
- Control access by observing visitor and employee entry points, verifying authorization as required, and directing guests to appropriate check-in and/or service areas.
- Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to on-site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
