As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage badge access, welcome drivers and team members, verify credentials, and document visitor activity. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor logs, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing inbound and outbound traffic to the proper staging areas.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating driver check-in and/or check-out, confirming appointments or documentation as required by post orders, and communicating with onsite contacts regarding arrivals and departures.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control panels, and alarm notifications; document unusual activity and report concerns per site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete detailed reports, and conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter as assigned.
