Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations through visible presence and strong communication. You will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver customer service with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, innovative team.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in points within the location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and/or receiving areas to help confirm that only authorized persons, vehicles, and deliveries are allowed access in accordance with posted policies and documented instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete visitor logs, access records, and/or incident documentation with attention to site requirements, while communicating clearly with staff and guests regarding security-related rules and expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and/or production-adjacent spaces to help identify suspicious activity, unsecured access points, and conditions that may require follow-up.
