As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, control site access, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help reduce security-related incidents through strong communication and attention to detail. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor activity in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions related to a food and beverage environment.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting access-related concerns, and communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
