Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening visitors, verifying credentials, and supporting access control activities for employees, contractors, and authorized guests.
Monitor entry and exit points, check badges, passes, and/or identification, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other access-related activity in accordance with location policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed during security-related events.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
Complete routine reports, maintain accurate logs, and report suspicious activity, operational issues, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated location personnel.
