Job Description As a Security Officer Credential Screening in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support badge activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, screening visitors, and supporting entry and exit activity at an aero and defense location.
- Monitor access points, check identification and authorization, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access attempts in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following post orders, communicating with site contacts, and documenting security-related events and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
- Support emergency response activities, maintain accurate logs and reports, and follow Allied Universal standards along with client-directed procedures for restricted areas and sensitive operations.
