Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures at a government location, including monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and documenting visitor and contractor activity.
Help to deter unauthorized access by checking credentials, screening permitted items as directed by site policies, and communicating access requirements to staff, visitors, and/or vendors in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or policy violations and documenting observations in required reports.
Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing incident and activity reports, and assisting with emergency response activities and other security-related duties as appropriate for the location.
