As a Security Officer - CRE Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with tenants and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Observe and report any suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with controlling access to the premises and verify identification of individuals entering the location.
• Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and staff to provide information and assistance as needed.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift according to Allied Universal protocols.
