About The Position

As a Security Officer - CRE Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with tenants and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Observe and report any suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with controlling access to the premises and verify identification of individuals entering the location.
Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and staff to provide information and assistance as needed.
Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift according to Allied Universal protocols.
