As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome tenants and visitors, manage access control and visitor logs, answer phones, and monitor cameras and alarms to help identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Operate the front desk in a commercial office location by greeting visitors, answering calls, and directing guests to the appropriate tenant or contact.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and contractor logs per site requirements.
  • Monitor lobby activity and report unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Monitor building systems such as cameras, intercoms, and alarm panels when assigned, and document alarms and service calls per post orders.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, property management, and service providers to support smooth daily operations and timely resolution of security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and visitor records with accurate, timely, and detailed information.
  • Enforce property rules and building protocols consistently while maintaining a customer-focused approach at the reception area.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations and medical response by following site instructions and providing clear directions to occupants and responders.
