About The Position

As a Security Officer - CRE Entry Access in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a dynamic commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, tenants, and/or employees with access-related inquiries and directions as needed.
Follow site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols when granting access to restricted areas within the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access-related emergencies.
Document and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons present at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement as required in access control and security-related matters.
