As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy government airport location, you will monitor and patrol terminals, parking areas, and other assigned spaces, completing routine rounds, remaining highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assisting visitors with directions and service needs. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and support a people-first culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, team-driven, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter zones to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and policy violations; working conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and designated checkpoints; verify credentials, issue visitor directions, and report unauthorized access attempts per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms, and suspicious activity; request additional resources when needed.
  • Complete timely security-related reports, incident documentation, and activity logs; communicate with supervisors and location representatives to support coordination and follow-up.
