As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-activity government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist with access control, report concerns clearly, and deliver standout customer service to travelers, staff, and partners. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to help to identify suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Control access at designated posts by checking identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and assisting with badging and/or visitor processing in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptive behavior, alarms, and suspicious packages, and coordinate with site management and public agencies as directed.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
