Job Description As a Security Officer - Cosmetic Company in Monmouth Junction, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, support a welcoming customer experience, and communicate clearly with shoppers, tenants, and store teams. You will observe and report concerns, respond to service calls, and document activity with attention to detail. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, entrances and exits, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor foot traffic and store conditions, identify potential concerns such as disorderly conduct or blocked pathways, and report findings per post orders.
- Complete required reports, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal supervisors and site leadership.
