Job Description As a Security Officer Corporate Reception in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Monitor front desk activity, manage access procedures, and greet and direct guests, vendors, and employees in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through appropriate site contacts when needed.
- Assist with visitor registration, badge distribution, phone inquiries, and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual conditions.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations by maintaining an attentive presence at the front desk and following established post orders.
