Security Officer - Third Shift
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Corporate Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and strong customer service while documenting observations and responding to concerns. Requirements
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, and calls for service, and coordinating with campus staff and/or local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, classrooms, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
- Monitor entry points and common areas for unusual activity, verify identification and/or access permissions when required, and assist with visitor directions and information.
- Complete routine reports and activity logs, document incidents, and communicate observations and instructions to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
