Security Officer - Corporate Office Patrol

As a Security Officer - Corporate Office Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, complete detailed reports, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy requirements as you respond to calls for service and assist tenants and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Monitor access points and observe building activity, verifying credentials and directing visitors according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
