About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Office Patrol in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, assist with badge and/or visitor entry as needed, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting observations. Requirements

Be 21+ years of age.
Being comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials when required, and directing guests to appropriate areas per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting events, and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
Complete routine reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and follow post orders for shift turnovers and key control where assigned.
