As a Security Officer - Media Facility Patrol in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a tech and media location. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and contribute to a caring, innovative team culture that values teamwork, agility, and integrity while supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the tech and media environment.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
