Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Shift in Seattle, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a bustling retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support a positive environment, while you provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving position, and you will be part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
Collaborate with retail staff and other Allied Universal personnel to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for customers.
