Job Description As a Security Officer - Corporate HQ Reception in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and support access control while delivering strong customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and coordinate with site personnel regarding entry protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and shift documentation, and support security-related operations such as key control, property checks, and/or contractor escorts as assigned.
