Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol K9 in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will be a trusted presence for employees and visitors, delivering strong customer service and clear communication while reporting concerns and observations. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and assist with directing employees, visitors and vendors according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, alarms, suspicious activity and/or disruptive behavior, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders as needed.
- Complete required reports, log entries and incident documentation, and communicate observations and escalation needs to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
