Job Description As a Security Officer - Corporate Campus Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping maintain a secure environment through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will support access control and badge activity, assist employees and visitors with a service-first mindset, and document security-related observations using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or public resources when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and document access activity, visitor interactions, and security-related events using logs, radios, and/or site systems, and report concerns through established channels.
- Complete required reports and shift documentation, communicate key information during post handoff, and support site operations by observing and reporting hazards and/or maintenance issues.
