Job Description As a Security Officer - Corporate Campus Patrol in Akron, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to requests, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting clinical staff and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of patient care areas, waiting rooms, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
- Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, enforcing visiting rules, and supporting staff with lost and found items and wayfinding requests.
- Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
